Mister Daytona N Burns Rubber At Tioga

Mister Daytona N snapped a three-race losing streak thanks to his narrow triumph in Monday’s $11,500 featured pace at Tioga Downs.

Mike Simons got away second with Mister Daytona A while Luciano powered to the top and carved out fractions of :26.4, :56.2 and 1:24.3.  Mister Daytona N found late clearance and used a :28.2 closing quarter to win by three-quarters of a length over race favourite J B Mauney N in 1:53.2.  Luciano N weakened late and settled for third.

Simons trains the 10-year-old son of American Ideal-Chara for Albert Abdala III of Thorndale, PA.  The victory was his fourth of the season and the 41st of his career.  He pushed his lifetime earnings over $430,000 with the victory.
