Owner Ken Jacobs and trainer Linda Toscano came to Monticello Raceway on Monday afternoon with a full quiver.
On the program’s first race of the day, Planet Rock captured the first of two $52,500 NYSS divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies. The daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven–Villa Hanover wasted no time leaving from post position four and she led the field through fractions of :28.2, :58 and 1:27:1 before using a :27.4 closing panel to win in a track record-setting clocking of 1:55. She defeated Roaring To Go and Pleasant Roll.
Planet Rock, who is owned by Ken Jacobs of Baldwinsville, NY, has racked up six wins in as many tries. She’s banked more than $123,000 to date.
The team of Jacobs, Toscano and Tetrick struck again in the second division with Robin J, who rolled through fractions of :28.2, :57.4 and 1:27.2 before using a :29-second kicker to win in 1:56.2. American Cheer was next best, with Lady Of Heaven taking home third prize in the $52,500 affair.
The daughter of Roll With Joe-Mommy Robin Q owns a 6-0-1 record from seven lifetime starts in addition to a bankroll of $157,855.
