Standardbred Canada is taking part in the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) today, with the I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club featured in the Better Living Centre, which is set up as “The Farm.”
As a member of the Canadian National Exhibition Association, Standardbred Canada was given the opportunity to have a display for one day at the CNE to showcase the organization to visitors.
In addition to signing up new members of the Fan Club and offering information on harness racing at it’s member racetracks, the Fan Club Team is also distributing Trot 4 Kids activity books, magazines, bookmarks and tattoos.
The Farm allows visitors to get acquainted with rural life, including a wide variety of farm animals ranging from piglets to ostriches. There are daily demonstrations of sheep shearing (1 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily) and cow milking (noon and 4:30 p.m. daily). The CNE’s interactive horse program, Horse Capades, is also part of the farm.
The CNE runs through to Monday, September 5.
