Western Olympian Wins Another Open

Western Olympian earned his third Open victory of the year on the Manitoba fair circuit with the season winding down on Sunday afternoon (August 28) at Miami.

Redonkulous led the reduced field of four in the $1,900 top class through fractions of :30.1, 1:01.1 and 1:31.1 with False Advertising advancing outside and Western Olympian circling his foes to prevail by half a length in 2:01.1. False Advertising was the runner-up while Redonkulous edged out pocket-sitter Toucam Sam for third-place three and a half lengths behind.

Richard Remillard worked out the winning trip aboard the eight-year-old Western Hanover gelding for owner and trainer Shawn Worthen of Yorkton, Sask.
