After having made breaks in its last two pari-mutuel starts, two-year-old Kadabra colt Ja El Express got back on its manners this morning

during the nine-race qualifying session at Mohawk Racetrack.

The bay colt took control prior to the opening half in Race 1 and went on to post a six and a half-length victory in 1:58.1. Trained by Jeff Gillis, Ja El Express was driven by his regular pilot Jody Jamieson.

Five-year-old Real Artist gelding Colonel Moffitt took to the track in Race 2 and parlayed a first-over effort into a half-length victory in 1:55.2 for driver Keith Oliver and trainer Kevin McMaster.

Having taken a two-hole ride in Race 3, freshman Bettors Delight colt Sign Of Delight stepped out to a one and three-quarter-length victory in 1:58.3 for driver Luc Ouellette and trainer Duane Marfisi.

Three-year-old SJs Caviar colt Triumphant Caviar fired into gear on the final turn in Race 4 and went on to record a two and three-quarter-length victory in 1:57.4. Ouellette notched his second consecutive driving victory with the Chris Beaver pupil.

Trainer Erv Miller and driver Jody Jamieson teamed up with What The Sheik in Race 5 and the freshman son of Western Terror didn't disappoint. After sitting third through the opening half, the brown colt came first up on the turn and went on to trip the final timer in 1:56.4, two and a half lengths the best.

Two-year-old Yankee Glide colt Il Villaggio was a six and a half-length winner in Race 6. The Jamieson/Miller duo clicked for the second consecutive race. The colt got the job done in 1:59.

Five-year-old As Promised mare Kg Mist held on for a nose victory in Race 7. With Rick Zeron in the bike for trainer Rob Fellows, the mare nailed the wire in 1:56.3.

Race 8 saw four-year-old Kadabra mare Abby Kadabra tally a neck victory in 1:58.1 for trainer Rene Laarman and driver Mark MacDonald.
