Twin B Joe Fresh maintained her top ranking in the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll for the seventh straight week and Karl held the second spot once again in the Week 11 edition of the Top 10 list released on Tuesday, Aug. 27.
Twin B Joe Fresh was idle while Karl won the third leg of the Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship Series in a career-best 1:50.2 at the Red Mile.
While nothing changed in the top two spots, Legendary Hanover moved up to No. 3 and Abuckabett Hanover returned to the Top 10. Legendary Hanover, who won his division of the Empire Breeders Classic in a track record 1:48.1 at Tioga Downs this past Sunday, moved from fifth to third in the rankings. Abuckabett Hanover rejoined the Top 10 for the first time since Week 7. He won the Preferred at Woodbine Mohawk Park last week and came in at No. 10 in the rankings.
Papi Grad, who finished second in a division of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes, dropped from the Top 10.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which will be released every Tuesday through the remainder of the Grand Circuit season, does not determine U.S. Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
