One More Laugh leads a field of talented two-year-olds in Pennsylvania Sire Stakes at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs
One More Laugh, a two-year-old Mcardle pacer, heads up a field of freshman pacing colts and geldings that will be converging on Pocono Downs Friday, August 28 for the final regular season Pennsylvania Sire Stakes.
There will be four divisions for the two-year-old pacing colts and geldings and One More Laugh is expected to be one of the favourites in the first division.
Ray Schnittker trains One More Laugh, a winner of four of five starts. The latest win came in the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes at the Meadows in a time of 1:52.4. Tim Tetrick is scheduled to drive One More Laugh, which has drawn Post 4.
Also in this seven-horse field is This Dragonflyzzz, a two-year-old Dragon Again colt trained by Noel Daley and set to be driven by talented young driver Andrew McCarthy. This Dragonflyzzz has won two of four starts in 2009 with two second-place finishes, including a 1:53.4 win on a 'sloppy' track at the Northeastern Pennsylvania racetrack on August 12.
Purses will be $68,000 plus for the four races.
Pocono Downs will be hosting the three-year-old Pennsylvania Championship Finals on Saturday, September 12, where more than $1 million in purses will be paid out.
