Dana Getto's Surrealist ($7.20) rebounded from a subpar midweek performance to capture Sunday's (Aug. 26) featured $1,150 winners-over pace at Inverness Raceway in pillar-to-post fashion.

The 12-year-old Modern Art gelding earned his fourth win in five starts and fifth in seven starts by controlling splits of :30.1, :59.3 and 1:29.1 in rein to Alex MacQuarrie before holding half a length of ground over Modern Best (Brett LeBlanc) in 1:58.3. Modern Best, however, fouled A Bs Future in the first quarter and was relegated to last as a result. Third-place finisher Unstoppable Speed (Andrew MacLean) was elevated to second after chasing evenly from the pocket throughout.

Surrealist notched the 77th win of his career, and is closing in on the $300,000 mark in career earnings.
