Brian Sears won the 10,000th race of his more than distinguished career Sunday afternoon (Aug. 26) at Yonkers Raceway.
Sears, as good a big-money driver as the sport has ever seen, recorded the milestone win in Yonkers’ ninth race with Chasin Dreams ($2.30). The three-year-old Credit Winner gelding ‘quarter-moved’ to the lead, then defeated Striking Encore (driven by Jason Bartlett) by a pair of lengths in 1:57.1.
