On Saturday night (Aug. 25) at Kawartha Downs, No Panic extended her winning streak to nine. Via the victory, the Jeremes Jet lass is now currently North America’s winningest Standardbred of the 2018 campaign, as she has hit the wire first on 15 occasions this season.

Driven by KD’s top reinsman, Reg Gassien, and trained by Ed McHale, No Panic has proven to be one tough mare racing in the Fillies and Mares $7,000 claiming ranks.

No Panic, who is owned by a numbered company and John MacMillan of Odessa, Ont., started from Post 5 on Saturday and raced on the outside until she cleared to the point in the second quarter of her dash. After she made the top, No Panic cruised on the engine and ultimately ended up posting a three and a half-length victory in 1:57.4.

With a few weeks to go in Kawartha’s 2018 season, No Panic has an opportunity to tie KD’s win-streak record (10) and possibly reset the record.
