Whitesand Dimples, who has yet to finish off the board in 15 starts this season for trainer Scott Forward, added another win to her record in the featured $575 Preferred Pace at St. Johns Racing & Entertainment Centre

on Wednesday.

Sitting behind Whitesand Dimples’ stablemate Jokers Jackpot, Scott Forward took his charge to the front of the field after leaving from the rail, and led the way through early fractions of :29 and 1:00.4. After the passing halfway point, Shane Forward and Whitesand Dimples pulled the pocket and coasted past three-quarters in 1:31 before kicking away by nine lengths for the victory. The eight-year-old daughter of Grinfromeartoear-Shirlene Temple stopped the clock in 2:02.2 with Bucko Rises (Peter Dooling) and See Sheila (Walter Deering, Jr.) finishing second and third.

Robert Clarke of Goulds, Nfld. owns Whitesand Dimples, now a winner of 39 races and $83,671 lifetime.

Earlier in Race 2, a two-horse accident took R Es Buckey, driven by Rod Forward, and Blu Meadow Ultra and David Hayes out of contention. Trot Insider will provide more details on the accident when made available. Forward did drive in the following race, but Hayes was not scheduled to drive later on the program.
