Twist N Clout, the New Jersey Sire Stakes two-year-old filly pacer of 2008, tries to win her third consecutive race and remain undefeated in 2009 in the $100,000 NJSS Premier Division Championship Final for three-year-old pacing fillies Saturday at Freehold Raceway.

The daughter of Western Ideal, winner of both her NJSS preliminary leg starts in 1:55 and 1:54 earlier this month at Freehold, heads a field of eight in the final. Twist N Clout, trained by Joe Holloway for the Val D’Or Farms of Millstone, New Jersey, won five of 13 races at two, including the NJSS Premier Division Championship at the Meadowlands last year.

Two other NJSS three-year-old preliminary leg winners will test her: Dingle Bay, a winner in 1:53.3, and Red High Heels, a winner in 1:53.2.

Another $100,000 NJSS Premier Division Championship for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings is on the Friday, August 27 program at Freehold. Three winners of NJSS preliminary legs will be in the field of eight: Mystro Hanover, Vesuvio AS and Sedona Canyon.
