George and Tina Dennis’ Faithfulandtrue ($5, Mike Cole) broke the track record for four-year-old trotting geldings Tuesday (Aug. 25) at Harrington Raceway with a 1:54.4 score in a $10,500 conditioned event.
The Joe Columbo-trainee set all the fractions from his rail post position and was a four-length impressive winner to break Can Do’s track record set in 2013.
In the feature, Howard Taylor and Mike Casalino's Theresademoninme ($8.60, Corey Callahan) was a 1:56.3 victor in the $18,000 Open Trot.
The nine-year-old Kadabra gelding cleared pacesetter Elysium Lindy in the stretch to achieve his 44th career win for trainer Dylan Davis. Jammin Jack closed ground late for second, while Elysium Lindy held third. Theresademoninme has banked nearly $700,000 in his career, which has saw him be a regular in the top overnight classes the past several years.
Driver Allan Davis won both halves of the daily double and had three wins on the card along with Art Stafford Jr. Cole had two wins, both aboard Columbo-trainees.
