A six-pack of OSS Grassroots events for two-year-old pacing fillies were contested Monday evening at Mohawk Racetrack, and Bourbon Seelster continued her domination in the division.

A perfect 2-for-2 in Grassroots action so far this season, Bourbon Seelster nabbed her third win of the year in the provincial program thanks to a 1:55 performance in the opening division.

Mike Saftic hustled his charge off the gate from Post 9, and together they were parked while leading at the quarter pole in :27.3. Race favourite Buttermilk Hanover made a predictable move to the lead in the backstretch, and once she cleared she managed to thrown down middle splits of :56.4 and 1:26.1. Bourbon Seelster shook loose in the lane and used a :28.2 kicker to power away by 2-3/4 lengths over Dancin Inthe Nude. Buttermilk Hanover wound up third.

Dewar N Soda, Trilife and Where Are We took turns on the lead through fractions of :26.4, :56.1 and 1:26, but it was Sports Expert and driver Doug McNair sailing by them all thanks to a :28-second kicker. The filly posted the half-length triumph over Divas Image, with Rosy Outlook third best.

Trainer Blake MacIntosh, who watched his stable go 4-for-4 on Monday, co-owns the homebred daughter of Sportswriter-Lyons Mandi lass with Touch Stone Farms and 30 Plus Stable. She improved her rookie record to 2-2-0 from five starts while pushing her earnings to $25,000.

Paul MacDonell nabbed his second OSS score on the card thanks to a 1:53.4 triumph with Party In Rome. The filly, who was overlooked by many at odds of 29-1, grabbed the two-hole early and watched Boozer Bruiser throw down an opening quarter clocked in :27.1. No Shadows took over the lead at the mid-way point in :56.3, but she was overtaken around the final turn by Mayhem Seelster who took the field to the three-quarter pole in 1:25. Im In Luv turned a second-over trip into a maiden-breaking score for Team Jamieson in the fifth division. The filly got away fifth for driver Jody Jamieson, who watched race favourite Bad In Paradise march to the lead and slice out splits of :27.1, :57 and 1:26.1. Im In Luv kicked off Watt Machs Me Win’s cover at the head of the lane and stormed home in :28.2 to win in 1:55.1 over race favourite Bad In Paradise by 2-1/2 lengths. Miss Print came on strong to grab the show dough.

Noone To Depend On gave Team Jamieson its second OSS victory on the evening thanks to her 1:54.2 tally in the final division. Sent off at odds of 5-1, the filly tucked in second and watched Tempus Seelster slice out an opening quarter in :27. Southwind Shania confronted Tempus Seelster at the mid-way point in :57 before muscling to the lead. She hit the three-quarter pole in 1:25 before give way to a host of backfield challengers.
