Hey Guys! Hey! I'm Not Dead!

Down Under horse veterinarian Art Meeker has been feeling the love after having suffered a massive heart attack at a Brighton training centre on June 30.

He really got to know how much people cared about him.

According to a report by The Mercury, Meeker, 72, doesn't remember much from when he collapsed and was essentially saved by a group of people, which included Meeker's close friend, trainer Royston Carr, who performed CPR.

The article explains that all in attendance cared as much for Meeker as they could before an ambulance rushed him to Royal Hobart Hospital.

In the hours, days and weeks after Meeker was taken to the hospital, many people believed the vet to be dead. The Mercury even ran an article a few days later which reported that he had died.

Meeker explained that his home was the target of flowers and tributes, and the erroneous news of his passing was becoming gospel in the racing community.

"It took a while for a few people to find out I was still alive and kicking, but it was very touching to know how many people were upset at my apparent passing," Meeker was quoted as saying.
