No Contest Declared At EPR

Sunday’s fifth race at Exhibition Park Raceway was declared a “no contest” as a result of a costly break by I X L in the opening turn of the $1,000 event for pacers

.

According to the chartline, I X L made a break going into the first turn and fell. The mare, who started from the pole position, was being driven by Philip Sowers. The fallen horse caused a chain reaction of interference to trailing horses and drivers.

Stephen Trites, who was driving Ace On The River from the second tier, was dumped from his bike after being interfered with.

There were no details on the condition of the horses or drivers involved in the mishap. Trot Insider will post more details when they are made available.
