Jamieson Takes Five More

Winning races in bunches is something Jody Jamieson has mastered the art of this season, and on Monday night he proved it by sculpting a five-win performance on Canada’s toughest circuit

.

Jamieson helped put a new lifetime mark on Nasty Dream in the second race, guiding the Ronnie MacLean pupil to a 1:54.1 victory. He was back in the winner’s circle the very next race after piloting Presidentialdesire to a maiden- breaking decision in an identical clocking of 1:54.1.

He put a smile on the favourites of the chalk players when he guided The Comedian to a 1:52.1 triumph in the fifth race. The Travis Alexander trainee was sent off as the 6-5 favourite, and he didn’t disappoint. An off-the-pace tally with Kid Carson (1:54) in the eighth race and a pocket trip conversion with R Lil King (1:51) in the eleventh race help bump Jamieson’s nightly win total to five.

The career winner of 4,757 races has racked up 481 wins this season. He recently went over the $60 million mark in lifetime earnings, thanks in part to the $6.4 million he has potted this year.
