Tirade Seelster earned her third Prospect Series victory as the Ontario-sired two-year-old trotters navigated the Clinton Raceway half-mile oval on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 23.
The fourth leg of the Prospect Series included a pair of $10,000 divisions for the fillies and one for the colts and geldings.
The Darryl Laver-trained filly Tirade Seelster ($4.60) led all the way in her division for a three-length victory ahead of Dontmindmymass and J Harris in 2:04.4 over the "good" track, with Lorne House aboard for owners Allister and Loretta Webster of Wyoming, Ont. The daughter of Lookslikeachpndale out of Tymal Timeout followed up a 2:00.4 career-best win over the same rival last weekend at Georgian Downs and was also winner in her Prospect debut in leg two at Hanover Raceway on July 18.
Hustleforthemuscle ($4.20) nabbed her second Prospect victory for the Hollidays -- driver Ryan, trainer David and owner Ben. Gapped seven lengths off the lead behind an early breaker in the deuce, she took aim once the path ahead cleared and reeled in the front-striding Northern Queen and Anthony Haughan for a 2:04.4 score by 1-1/4 lengths. The Green Manalishi S-Muscle Mackayla miss was also a winner during the Hanover leg.
The male division went to first-time Prospect winner Castellano ($2.10), who advanced uncovered mid-mile to take the lead and take off by 4-1/4 lengths in 2:03.4 for driver Samuel Fillion, trainer Jean-Francois Maguire and owner Marc Kirouac. A two-time winner in the Quebec-bred Coupe de l'Avenir stakes series, the Muscle Mass-Hawaiian Sweetie gelding earned his fourth straight victory.
