Chris Scicluna’s Hatikvah notched his fifth win of the year Tuesday at Harrington Raceway in the $20,000 Open Trot in 1:56.2.
The Chapter Seven gelding was prompted to the lead early from post seven by driver Ross Wolfenden and never relented once there with a three-length score over Monarch and Happy That. It was Hatikvah’s second upset win in the class in five starts at the meet, after a 22-to-1 win on June 8. He paid $15.20 to win.
It was one of three wins on the card for Wolfenden, who won races 5 through 7 in succession. Tony Morgan and Allan Davis each had a double.
Live racing will resume August 29 on a Monday/Tuesday schedule before a three-day schedule resumes on September 5 (Monday through Wednesday).
