The feature on the Tuesday night (Aug. 22) harness racing card at Running Aces was the $11,000 Open Handicap Trot, and the four-year-old mare CW Raisinette picked up her fifth consecutive win in her first try at the top level.

Driver Steve Wiseman got her away alertly from the rail position in the eight-horse field and secured the early pocket, then brushed to the lead at the three-eighths marker. From there CW Raisinette ($3.40) looked comfortable at every call, and took advantage of a breaking horse in deep stretch to hold on for the victory by a half-length in 1:57.4.

The sharp trotter is trained by part owner Kathie Plested-Wiseman, who shares ownership with A Piece of The Action, LLC.

In the $13,000 two-year-old Minnesota-Sired Pace, Watchmeneighneigh ($3.60) scored his first lifetime win in 1:57.3 with driver James Yoder aboard for trainer Robert Lems and owner Richard Davelaar.

Steve Wiseman boasted the best night among drivers with another hat trick, placing him four wins ahead of Nick Roland to top the driver standings.

The 20-cent Pick 5 Jackpot has now grown to $47,257.01 for this coming Saturday night's card.
