Authorities in Hamilton, Ont. are asking the public if they have any idea of the whereabouts of a former standardbred trainer/groom which has not been seen in almost

two months.

According to an article last week by The Hamilton Spectator, Jocelyn Lacroix, a 46-year-old originally from Trois Rivieres, Que., has not been seen since July 1 and has not contacted his family who were awaiting his arrival at his father's birthday August 4.

The report states that police are concerned for Lacroix's safety and they do not believe his disappearance is suspicious. The article states that Lacroix has not picked up his prescription in one month.

Jocelyn's sister, France, has been reported as saying that her brother suffers from hepatitis C and a serious wound to his hand. He reportedly wears a black fingerless glove on his right hand to cover the wound.

Lacroix is described as 5-foot-8, 120 pounds, with brown/grey hair which is cut short on top, with a long ponytail in the back and blue eyes. He speaks with a French accent.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sergeant Tony Belisario at 905-546-3833, Sergeant Ewart at 905-546-3816 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
