The swan song for the 2025 New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) program at Monticello Raceway will be heard as the last leg of Sire Stakes will occur on Monday, Aug. 25 when two-year-old filly pacers close out the season. On tap are two $52,500 USD divisions of Sire Stakes and two $20,000 USD divisions of the Excelsior Series.

The first division, charted as race two, is a five-horse contest with Odds On Enigma installed as the 5-2 morning line favorite. She has one NYSS win to her resume with a score earlier in the year at Vernon Downs where she earned her speed badge of 1:54.2. The Huntsville offspring is trained by Scott Di Domenico and has earned $91,252 going into this contest. Matt Kakaley will drive from post two.

The second division heads to the gate in Race 8, and features the top two point earners in the division. Odds On Monetary (PP4, Kakaley, 3-1) is the top point earner; she sports an impressive body of work with three Sire Stake wins and two place finishes for trainer Travis Alexander. She has a two-race win streak with recent wins at Batavia and Saratoga, taking her 1:55.1 in a Sire Stake win at Vernon Downs. Liberty Style (PP2, Jason Bartlett, 5-2) scored a 1:55.1 win in this class in her last outing at Batavia. The Huntsville lass is trained by Andrew Stafford.

The Excelsior Stakes offers two heats, each vying for a purse of $20,000, carded as races four and six with the first heat featuring a bulging field of nine horses and the second a solid group of eight.

First post time for the nine-race card is 12:10 p.m. (EDT)
