Rock N Shard Scores In Harrington Open

Brendan Davis' Rock N Shard was a 1:54.4 winner Monday in the $20,000 Mares Open at Harrington Raceway.

The eight-year-old Rocknroll Hanover mare recorded her fiith win of the year for trainer/driver Tyler Davis, scoring a hard fought victory from post position six.

Cruzinforavictory led the field through fractions of :27.4, :56.2 and 1:25.3, while Rock N Shard ($25.80, Tyler Davis) gathered momentum three-wide and surged to the lead in the final strides over Peaks Cruiser. Cruzinforavictory held third.

One race earlier, George and Tina Dennis' Mack ($6.80, Mike Cole) was an undercard winner in a $15,000 conditioned pace with a narrow win over Slick Tony and Got The Mojo in 1:52.1.

The Joe Columbo trainee has been uber consistent all season and recorded his second win of the year.
