Regally-Bred Rookies Impress

A pair of well-bred youngsters celebrated maiden-breaking wins Thursday evening at Mohawk Racetrack, and judging by their efforts – it probably won’t be the last time you see their names in the news.

E L Titan, a son of Muscle Hill out of the stakes-winning mare Courtney Hall – the full sister to Cameron Hall (1:53.4 - $2,138,787), survived a first-over journey to win a $10,000 tilt for rookie trotters in a time of 1:58 for trainer/driver Riina Rekila.

The homebred is owned by Erkki Laakonen of Helsinki, Finland.

Damfoolrmillionair, a son of Muscles Yankee out of Village Beauty, turned a two-hole trip into a 1:58.1 victory in a $10,000 assignment for driver Randy Waples.

Brad Maxwell trains the freshman, who is a half-brother to three-time Maple Leaf Trot champ and the multiple O’Brien Award-winning San Pail (1:50.4 - $3,076,635). The gelding is owned by P G Van Camp Stables of Port Perry, Ontario.
