Zippett Racing Stable’s Murmur Hanover ($5.40, Victor Kirby) was a 1:57.1 winner over a sloppy racetrack in the featured $16,000 Open Trot Tuesday (Aug. 21) at Harrington Raceway.

The Jay Gannon trainee registered his 31st career win in wire-to-wire fashion over a game Royal Becca J, who was first-over, while pocket sitter P L Hercules finished third. Murmur Hanover, a son of Majestic Son, has now banked $814,000 in his career.

It was one of four wins for Kirby on the card. Ross Wolfenden and Russell Foster both had driving triples; trainer Josh Green also had three wins on the card.

Wingus captured the $11,000 Open II sub-feature in 1:58.1 for owners Bill and Joan Venables and trainer John Wilkerson.

Live racing resumes next Monday (Aug. 27).
