After winning eight races last Sunday at Nouvelle, 21-year-old driver Louis Philippe Roy headed to Club De Course Bonaventure today to dominate the 11-race card scoring a 50-1/2 length margin of victory over six wins
.
Roy kicked off the card with a 15 length score aboard the Jacques Sirois-trained Wok N Roll and was back in the winner's circle after guiding his own pupil Battle Call to an 11 length triumph in the fourth race. Wok N Roll returned to victory lane in the following race, winning again by a quarter length with Roy in the bike. Percy Challenge, trained by Nathalie Migneault, was a four length winner in the next race for Roy while Battle Call doubled up with a 20 length romp in the ninth event. Percy Challenge eked out another victory in the 10th race, winning by a quarter length to give Roy his final hurrah.
Wok N Roll's 2:02 win in the first race lowered the three-year-old pacing filly track record, held by M G Avril, by two-fifths of a second.
With 19 wins in 31 starts this year, Roy boasts a .752 driving average.
Some Lifesomewhere also doubled up on the card, winning by 28 and 20 lengths for trainer-driver Eric Duguay.
Golden Vanity equalled Dover Harp's track record for aged pacing horses with his 2:00.2 triumph in the seventh race for trainer, driver and owner Jean Marc Roy.
