Since joining forces with trainer Chris "Gunner" Haskell, six-year-old pacing mare So Feminine has almost been unbeatable
. On Friday night she took her game to a whole new level when she visited Mohawk Racetrack and extended her winning streak to seven-in-a-row.
So Feminine, who was claimed for $6,875 earlier this year by Haskell’s girlfriend, Cassie Nantais of Windsor, ON, won her first two starts following the acquisition and then grabbed a runner-up effort in her third start for the barn, but it’s been nothing but the winner’s circle since that time.
The Albert Albert miss rallied to stop the teletimer in a career-best clocking of 1:52.4 in a $16,000 event at Mohawk Racetrack on Friday evening after being treated to a ground-saving trip by driver Brad Forward.
The win improved her 2010 record to 9-2-3 from just 22 trips postward, and the lion’s share of the purse lifted this year’s earnings to $38,657 - with $34,250 of that total being earned while racing for her current connections.
