No Injuries Suffered In Flamboro Spill

Drivers Rob Jenkins, Jr. and J.R. Plante can thank their lucky stars they came away unscathed following a spill in Race 5 on Saturday afternoon at Flamboro Downs

.

Jenkins made a three-wide move heading to the three-quarter pole with pacer Lucan Maverick, but the pacer got rough gaited and made a sudden break. Plante and Goodguysalwayswin, who were sitting behind the breaking horse, couldn’t avoid the left wheel of Jenkins’ sulky and got hooked up. Both Jenkins and Plante were unseated from their respective bikes, with Plante rolling right into the path and then underneath Deacons Challenge (Gary Rivest).

Both drivers got to their feet and drove later on the program. In fact, they both found their way to the winner’s circle later on the card. Neither of the horses fell, but they did run loose before being apprehended. There were no injuries to the horses.
