Fresh off her lifetime best performance in the 2023 Lady Liberty at The Meadowlands on Hambletonian Day, Silver Label reemerged north of the border on Saturday, Aug. 19 for a test against some familiar foes in the $42,000 Free For All Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Sent off as the 1-5 choice, Silver Label and driver Scott Zeron cleared So Much More (James MacDonald) heading into the first turn. The stakes star then paced through panels of :26.3, :54.4 and 1:22.3 before sprinting home in :27 for the in-hand 1:49.3 score. Stablemate Prohibition Legal (Louis-Philippe Roy) closed well to finish second with So Much More just back of the front duo in third.
Trained by Nick Gallucci for breeder-owner Millar Farms of Stouffville, Ont., Silver Label (Bettors Delight - Hidden Gem) picked up her eighth win of the season and 20th lifetime with the open class score. She now sports $1,212,983 in career earnings. The popular winner paid $2.40 to win.
