Allard Wins Seven At Rideau

Rideau Carleton Raceway's leading reinsman Simon Allard had another chart-topping night at the Ottawa, Ont. oval earning seven wins during the 15-race card.

The wins came early and often for Allard, who was victorious in the first race aboard Walbert ($13) for trainer Marc Andre Simoneau. His next win was for his brother, trainer Rene Allard, in the fourth race with Diditagain Hanover ($7.50). The Allards teamed up for two more wins in the sixth and seventh races with Veal Marsala ($2.70) and Stonebridge Bonus ($9.10). Allard completed his stellar night with victories in the ninth race aboard Marc Lamarche trainee Bryson Seelster ($6.40), in the 10th with the Pierre Leclerc-conditioned Pieraz ($5.50), and 13th with Thebestofme ($4.80) for trainer Denis Masse.

Allard now boasts 280 wins on his seasonal record with over $1.65 million in purse earnings.
