In an article by The Star-Ledger, trainer Greg Peck has been quoted as saying that it has always been the plan to send three-year-old trotting dynamo Muscle Hill to the World Trotting Derby in Illinois instead of the
Yonkers Trot in New York.
"He wasn't eligible (to the Yonkers Trot)," Peck said about the Muscles Yankee colt. "We didn't nominate him because we knew we wanted to race him in the World Trotting Derby on September 5."
Eliminations for the Yonkers Trot will be taking place this weekend, while the rich final will contested August 29.
The report also states that after the World Trotting Derby, Muscle Hill will be heading north to the Woodbine Entertainment Group circuit to tackle the Canadian Trotting Classic at Mohawk Racetrack before taking dead-aim at the Breeders Crown at Woodbine Racetrack.
