Putnams Power Defeats Top N.S. Pacers

Putnams Power wired Northside Downs' top pacers for his first win of the year on Saturday afternoon.

Driver Robert MacCormick sent the Force Of Life gelding down the road in the $1,100 Winners Over Pace for the 1:58 victory. Lils Destiny and Colin Kelly finished two lengths behind in second with broken equipment while favourite Junebugs Baby and Fraser Turnbull rounded out the top three.

Trainer Ronald Seymour Jr. co-owns the six-year-old pacer with William Seymour of Glace Bay, N.S.

While the win was Putnams Power's first this season, he has hit the board in his five other starts.
