A trio of series finals for rookies highlighted the Monday program at Rideau Carleton Raceway, with Artistic M N M, Musclemad and Winning Dream capturing their respective events

.

Artistic M N M is now undefeated in five tries thanks to her 1:57.4 tally in the $26,500 final of the Frisky Fillies Pacing Series. Trainer/driver Jason Gilchrist had the daughter of Real Artist-Matt N Mouse lay down fractions of :28.1, :58.4 and 1:28.2 en route to the four-length triumph in 1:57.3. Izzabee rallied to finish second and Ramadawn was third.

Gilchrist shares ownership on the career winner of $26,450 with Ron Berry of Nepean, ON.

Musclemad got all the marbles in the $28,300 final of the Majestic Son Trotting Series after a trio of near misses in the preliminary legs of the event. Yves Gauthier guided the Julie Leblond-trained daughter of Muscles Yankee-Madison County to the 2:02.1 score over Onthemoneyside and Ornela Dream.

It was a maiden-breaking win for the youngster, who was a $9,000 purchase out of last year’s Harrisburg Yearling Sale. Leblond and Gauthier hold the papers on the career winner of $14,474.

Winning Dream put the pedal to the metal as soon as the starting gate sped away, and that approach paid of handsomely for the son of Shanghai Phil-Western Sara who sped to a career-best clocking of 1:55.3 in the $27,200 final of the Boys Of Summer Pacing Series for the team of driver Sylvain Lacaille and trainer Chantal Duval. The freshman carved out splits of :28.2, :58.3 and 1:27.1 before sprinting home in :28.2 en route to the 2-1/4 lengths decision over Safe Harbor. Third prize went to Ideal Shark.

The colt has banked $18,550 in his first three starts for owner/breeder Reve Avec Moi Dreamwithme of Knowlton, QC.
