It has been announced that Bettors Wish will be supplemented to the Messenger Stakes.
Bettors Wish, winner of the Art Rooney Memorial at Yonkers Raceway and the Millstein Memorial at Northfield Park, will be supplemented to the Messenger next Saturday at Yonkers.
Eric Cherry, representing Bettors Wish’s ownership, made the announcement Sunday afternoon (Aug. 18). Bettors Wish is a sophomore son of Bettors Delight that is trained by Chris Ryder.
“We already know how he handles Yonkers and half-mile tracks in general,” said Cherry, who went on to state, “we figured the Messenger is a natural for the colt who just recently won a Kentucky Sires Stake In 1:47.4 at the Red Mile.”
Bettors Wish will be eligible to be supplemented to the Little Brown Jug if he wins the Messenger.
