OSS Fillies Head To Georgian Tuesday

Betit To Getit cashed a winning ticket in her last Grassroots start, and the filly will be looking to make it two in a row when the three-year-old pacing lasses arrive in Innisfil on Tuesday, Aug. 20 for the fourth stop on their provincial tour.

The No Pan Intended daughter, owned by Holland Racing Stable of Aurora, led from gate-to-wire in the Aug. 5 Grassroots event at Grand River Raceway, sailing across the finish line three lengths on top in 1:55. Through 18 starts this season, Betit To Getit has posted 10 wins, three seconds and three thirds for earnings of $67,755.

The Ben Wallace trainee will make her bid for win number 11 from post five in the second $18,000 Grassroots division on Tuesday. Three other fillies with one Grassroots win under their belt will battle in race three, including Senorita Santanna from post four, Cams Macharena from post six and Windsong Jacoba from post eight.

The third Grassroots split on the Georgian Downs program will see division point leader Mattys Big Day going for her third win from post sxi. The Jeremes Jet filly is trained by Denis St. Pierre for Debbie Element and Ecurie JGV Enrg of Laval, Que. From post three, rival Foolish Mind, just 25 points behind Mattys Big Day in the standings, will be hoping to keep the point leader off the board for trainer Sue Marie Gangell of Simcoe and Barry Charles of New Rochelle, New York.

Also taking aim on the division leader in race five will be two-time Grassroots winner Life Is A Lady, who is currently tied for third in the standings. The Santanna Blue Chip miss is owned by trainer Meg Crone and driver Anthony Haughan of Cambridge.

Post time for Georgian Downs’ Tuesday, Aug. 20 program is 7:25 p.m. and the spotlight will be on the three-year-old pacing fillies in Races 1, 3, 5, 7, and 8.
