Felicia Hall captured the $6,000 Fillies and Mares Open Pace on Friday (August 16) in Northfield Park’s 10th race.
Nichole Gagnon trains and co-owns Felicia Hall with Cathy Watson, Richard Smith and Jerry Weininger. Ryan Stahl drove the six-year-old pacer.
Felicia Hall (Pro Bono Best-Formica) started from post four. She left alertly off of the gate and led her rivals from start to finish, posting fractions of :27.2, :56.3, 1:25.3 and 1:54.1. Felicia Hall withstood pressure throughout much of the mile and dug in late to best her competition by a head.
Completing the race were Sissy Bar, Moonlite Delite, Umygeorgia Hanover, Classieriverboat N, Fly To The Angels, Hugs Again and Getherdone Sue. Ideal Treasure was scratched.
Friday’s win was the eighth in 2013 for Felicia Hall, who now has 13 career successes and earnings of $76,275. She was the race favourite and returned $4 to win.
