Surprise Surgery For Hare

It has been announced that Rod Hare, executive director of the BC Standardbred Breeders Society, had to undergo

surprise surgery last week.

According to an item on harnessbc.ca, Hare was in a meeting with BC Standardbred Association president Scott Knight and Fraser Downs general manager Chuck Keeling. “I felt off,” Hare was quoted as saying from his hospital bed on Friday, August 14.

Less than 24 hours after feeling something was amiss, Hare was under the knife at Langley Memorial Hospital where a twisted intestine was determined as the culprit for his discomfort.

Harnessbc.ca reports that the operation was a success and that Hare is expected to be released from Hospital today.
