Veteran trainer Glenn Lutz enjoy a productive day at Century Downs Racetrack and Casino on Saturday as his stable scored three wins on the 10-race card.
Lutz sent out his first winner in the second race as the homebred freshman filly Apple Blossom Time ($8.90) broke her maiden in 2:01.1 for owners William and Dianne Neish. The Calgary horseman later won the eighth race with his own four-year-old mare Double L Fab ($16.40) scoring in 1:59.4. Too Ideal ($5.70) completed the Lutz triple as the seven-year-old distaffer owned by Fred Gillis' Fun For Fans delivered a 1:57.3 triumph in the finale.
Philip Giesbrecht drove all three winners from the Lutz stable, which has won a total of 19 races so far this year.
Brandon Campbell led all drivers, steering four winners on the program, with his own stable going a perfect two-for-two.
