It has been reported that a bill introduced in the United States could see fines coming to those that transport equine in double-decker vehicles.
An article by the American Horse Council explains that the bill, which was re-introduced by Senator Mark Kirk of Illinios would prohibit the transport of any equine in a double-deck truck.
The report goes on to state that the bill outlines civil penalties ranging from $100 to $500 for each violation. Under the wording of the bill, a separate violation would occur for each horse being transported in the vehicle.
