J&T Davis' Secret Jet ($78.20) was an upset winner in the $20,000 Open Trot on Tuesday (Aug. 15) at Harrington Raceway with Tyler Davis steering him to a 1:57.3 triumph.
Trained by his driver, the seven-year-old Dejarmbro gelding received a pocket trip behind pacesetter Manatlas through panels in :29, :59.2 and 1:28.1. Secret Jet surged down the passing lane late for a narrow win by a head. Manatlas was second with Slim Jimmy third.
It was the 17th career win for Secret Jet, who has banked $357,295 in his career.
Mst Racing's Bluffs Crush ($2.80) won her fifth straight race with Montrell Teague in the bike for trainer Clyde Francis in 1:55.2 by five lengths in a $12,500 claiming event, where she was claimed by Basil Sapienza.
Allan Davis drove three winners on the card. Teague, Tony Morgan and Pat Berry each had driving doubles. Ross Shand had a training and driving double.
