Forever Paradise earned his third consecutive victory at Charlottetown Driving Park in Friday night's $2,350 Preferred 2 Pace, giving Gilles Barrieau his third driving win on the Old Home Week program.
Forever Paradise prevailed in 1:55.4 off a pocket trip behind Cambest Kisser, who was overtaken by eventual runner-up Cabo Pan Lucas. Wandasbettorchoice came on for third-place over Cambest Kisser.
The Kevin MacLean trainee now boasts nine wins in 15 starts this season along with four other top-three finishes for P.E.I. owners Reginald MacPherson, David Mackenzie and Aaron Mackenzie.
Chris Coven earned his first career training win in the evening's ninth race when his Truro invader Pasta Vera and driver Kirk Parris prevailed by half a length over the popular pacesetter Braveheart Da Vie and Barrieau in 1:57. The Middle Sackville, N.S. horseman earned his first win in his P.E.I. debut after making 19 starts through July and August in Truro.
