Lexicam pulled off a 10-1 upset in the Juggernaut Series Final when he rallied from last to first over a sloppy track to grab the lion's share of the $22,400 jackpot on Saturday night at Sudbury Downs

.

Driver Gerry Belanger guided Lexicam from the back of the pack around the last turn to get up for the 2:03.3 win in the final stride over the track rated five seconds slow. Rockadile Man (Mario Rivest) finished a quarter length behind and Electric (Justin Turcotte) was just three-quarters of a length back in third. Favourite Schooner (David Dowling), who set all the pace, had to settle for fourth.

After going winless in seven starts during his sophomore season, the four-year-old gelded son of Camluck-Lexley has recorded two wins in 12 starts this year while banking $23,125 in earnings. Lexicam is trained by Gerry Lamoureux and for owners Stephanie Minaker of Chelmsford, Ont. and Ashley Miller of Sudbury, Ont.

He paid $22.30 for the upset.
