Ace On The River earned his fourth consecutive victory with a front-end effort in the featured $1,850 Winners Over Pace at Exhibition Park Raceway on Saturday afternoon

Ace On The River began his win streak at EPR on July 23 and after making a couple of successful stops at Fredericton Raceway, where he took a new mark of 1:59.2, and Woodstock Raceway, the five-year-old pacer returned to the Saint John oval for another triumph.
Leaving from Post 2, Ace On The River and driver Phil Hodgson took control of the field off the gate. The son of Western Success-Lf Anne was confronted at the half-mile marker by Highjinx Benka (Lonny Stokes), who charged up to challenge from third, but fought back on the inside and put away that rival before cruising to victory in 2:00.4. Man In Pink (Mark Haig) finished one length behind off a pocket trip and Victory George (Sam Hodgin) came on for third.
Ace On The River paid $14.40 to win. The homebred gelding has now won half of his 12 starts this season for owner-trainer Heather Hathaway of Keswick, N.B.
