Heath Campbell held the hot hand on Saturday at Scarborough Downs, steering three winners down victory lane; chief among them, Pembroke Dewey, who claimed top honours in an $11,767 division of Maine Sire Stakes competition.

The three-year-old son of Baron Biltmore continued to navigate his unbeaten path, scoring his seventh consecutive win from seven seasonal starts. Owned and bred by William Varney of Bangor, Maine, Pembroke Dewey toyed with the field, coasting to the wire with the remainder of the pack battling for minor spoils in his wake. Lifes Energy (Shawn Thayer) was second and Macs Pride (Scott MacKenzie) was third.

Other stakes winners on the program included Fast Ben, who was driven to his third win of the season by Gary Mosher for trainer Eric Bickmore, and Lollipop Kid, who also claimed his third seasonal win with driver-trainer Kevin Switzer calling the shots.

In other news, Wholly Louy claimed his third consecutive win, besting a stellar field of Free-for-All campaigners with driver Gary Mosher engineering the winning strategy, timed in 1:55.3. The win marked the 50th career victory lap for the classy eight-year-old son of Camluck.

World champion Cactus Creek recorded the fastest mile of the day, stopping the clock in 1:54.3, giving driver Heath Campbell his third win of the afternoon.
