Apache White Foot captured the lone $7,500 third leg division of the Juggernaut Pacing Series featured on Saturday night's harness racing card at Sudbury Downs.
After sitting third through early fractions of :29.4 and :59.4, Gerry Belanger sent the Whitefish Falls-Apache Raindrop gelding to command and hit the three-quarters mark in 1:28.4. The pacer then kicked home in :28.4 to seal the deal. Apache White Foot stopped the clock in 1:57.3, winning by nearly two lengths over early leaders Pass The Deuce and Jason Ryan. Frisky Burl and Paul MacLean finished third.
Apache White Foot paid $3.20 to win as the odds-on favourite.
The roan gelding won his first leg division of the series before finishing second in round two behind the absent Better Get Ready, who destroyed the sophomore track record with a 1:53.4 eye-catching 15-1/2 length score.

The series will wrap up with a $22,500 (estimated) final on Saturday, August 18.
