Maureen Rocks has made five lifetime starts for trainer Tony O’Sullivan, and in all five instances she has gone home a winner
.
Her most recent triumph came in the Thursday evening finale at Mohawk Racetrack, an $18,000 assignment she won quite handily in a career-best clocking of 1:51.1.
With Mike Saftic in the bike, the three-year-old daughter sat in mid-pack in the early stages of the mile before making a powerful move to the lead as the field moved into the final turn. A :28-second final frame was more than enough for her to fend off Dance Until Dawn and Preppy Party Girl.
Bred and owned by Emerald Highland Farm of Mount Vernon, OH, Maureen Rocks didn’t make it to the races as a rookie but she has stashed away $43,000 this season.
