Mr Invincible tightened his stronghold as this year’s winningest trotter in North America during the August 11 card at Grand River Raceway
.
The win in race 11 was the four-year-old gelding’s 13th score from 20 starts this season.
Driver John Kovacs guided Mr Invincible, the betting favourite, gate-to-wire for a three-length win in 1:57.3, matching his career best clocking over Hiawatha Horse Park earlier this year.
Tonight’s victory also marked the trotter’s eighth consecutive winning effort (although placed second once) in a streak that began on May 25 at the Elora, ON oval.
Trainer Wayne Preszcator co-owns Mr Invincible with Dorrie Brunton, Harness Racing Canada 8 and Laurie Brunt. The trotter sells as Hip 49 in Standardbred Canada's Summer Sizzler Mixed Sale, set for August 22.
