It has been reported that Centaur LLC, the bankrupt operator of Hoosier Park, is getting closer to emerging from its Chapter 11 status
.
An article by The Herald Bulletin states that the final hurdle that the company is approaching is approval from the Indiana Horse Racing Commission and the Indiana Gaming Commission. The process is expected to be complete in two months' time.
“Hoosier Park was very successful as a business and casino before the bankruptcy filing and it has remained successful through the entire process,” Hoosier Park President Jim Brown was quoted as saying in the report. “We really haven’t changed anything here that wasn’t done with the intent of better serving our customers ... we have the same prime cut meats in our steakhouse, the same reward programs for frequent visitors, the same number of employees. It’s been business as usual.”
