Dismissed at 7-1, Rock Me Cristal let Lady Newton do the heavy lifting on the point, then edged by her in the Lightning Lane to capture Wednesday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,000 filly & mare conditioned pace.
Rock Me Cristal zipped to the early lead for Hunter Myers but yielded to the pocket when Lady Newton challenged. The leader was able to thwart the first-over challenge of All Day Sunshine but could not deny Rock Me Cristal, who downed Lady Newton by a head in 1:52.2. All Day Sunshine persevered for show.
Andy Rickert trains Rock Me Cristal, a six-year-old daughter of Rockin Amadeus-Cristal Daddy Girl who pushed her lifetime bankroll to $250,127, for Murdock Racing Stable LLC.
