False Advertising was back in the spotlight on the Manitoba Great Western Harness Racing Circuit on Sunday at Killarney as he earned another victory in the $1,800 Open Pace.
Driver Cory Manning had False Advertising on the move from third at the half-mile mark and took over the lead from Fancy Camelot en route to the 2:01 victory. Smoky Moon matched strides with Fancy Camelot and they finished in a dead-heat for second in the short field that was scratched down to just four horses.
Trained and owned by Betty Manning of Carman, MB, the five-year-old gelded son of McArdle earned his third Open win from five starts competing on the Manitoba fair circuit this summer. He was a back-to-back winner in his first two provincial starts mid-July at Glenboro and Holland.
